SEATED IN HEAVENLY PLACES

Once a Christian takes a hold of the fact that Christ lives in him, he enters into peace and joy and gets to a place where, even though he goes through trials, tribulations, circumstances and situations, he stays in a place of rest.  This is because Christ is his life and everything else, in reality, becomes secondary.  He remains in the spirit so to speak and is "seated in heavenly places" in Christ.  Seated, means a place of rest.  Being "seated" is a place you get to.  This place only comes, I believe, when you are absolutely determined to know nothing else but Christ in you or Christ as your life.  In fact, let me say  that everything that happens to you so to speak will only push you to know Christ more.  Like Paul the apostle said that he counts all things rubbish for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ.  Heavenly places becomes the norm for the Christian living to know Christ more.  The reality is that Christ lives in you and all you see is Christ.  Even in my prayer life, it is no more works to pray, but it becomes an unceasing prayer in my life.  When I talk to other Christians, its like I am talking to God because Christ lives in them.  We are, as Christians, inextricably linked in unbroken fellowship with the Father through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Being in the position of being seated in heavenly places, although a reality, is something that we have to take hold of in our thinking / soul realm.  It is something that we need to push into.  It means renewing the mind to thinking like this and the Holy Spirit will help us in this way.  And having said this, we need to beware of the enemy in this regard.  In Luke 8 vs 4, Jesus tells the parable about the seed which is sown.  I believe, the seed is Christ, the Word.  The seed is sown, but if received in unbelief or on thorny grown, it does not yield much fruit in our lives.  The thorns are the cares of this world, the deceifulness of riches and the pleasures of this life.  Now obviously we will have concerns/worries ,etc.  But our priority must be Christ in us.  As we put "first the Kingdom of God (Christ)  all things will be added",  so we need not worry.  The Father will take care of you.  The grace of God is more than sufficient for anything that we might have to endure.  Praise God for the Life that is in Christ and because of that we are seated in heavenly places in Christ.
