What a blessing it is to experience fellowship with brethen together in Him. Col 2:19
...holding the Head, from which all the body by joints and bands having nourishment ministered, and knit together, increaseth with the increase of God.
When we connect to the Head corporately (Please note: Head = Capital leters is Christ Himself) then we experience the most wonderful, intrinsic, extemperaneous, dynamic work of the Spirit together as the body has NOURISHMENT MINISTERED and there is a knitting together and increase takes place. There is an abiding in the vine, which is Christ, and fruit is developed together. I believe when the Father looks at this, he is overjoyed because he sees none other, nothing else, but Christ His Son!!! This is so important because only the Son blesses the Father, so to speak. There is nothing in ourselves, but Christ in us which is our Glory. The Son pleases the Father immensely! What glory this is!
|In Col 3:16, it saysLet the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.
This is corporate Christ in action, if I may say it like that. However, many christians seem to be taken by "numbers", Questions like, "How many people do you have in your church?" is one example. Jesus said that where two or three are gathered in my name, there I am in the midst of them. (Matt. 18:20) (Although we really need to understand that Christ is in us and where we go, He is, IN US!) That is what Paul's gospel is all about, the mystery of Christ in us. So we need not to be taken up with numbers. It is quality, so to speak, not quantity! Christ is our quality. We are absolutely complete in Him! (Col 2:10)
Col 2:2 That their hearts might be comforted, being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, to the acknowledgement of the mystery of God, and of the Father, and of Christ; This scripture is so amazing because it says so much! First of all our hearts can be comforted, we can be knit together in love, we can have the full assurance of understanding (this is so important) and we can acknowledge the MYSTERY OF GOD, which is Christ in us, the hope of glory. (Col 1:27) Be blessed in Him. Your brother in Christ, Bryan.
