THROUGH THE EYES OF GOD
HOW DO YOU SEE YOURSELF? AND HOW DOES GOD SEE YOU?
Colossians 1:20-22
And, (the Father) having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
And, (the Father) having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven.
And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled.
In the body of his flesh through death, to PRESENT YOU HOLY AND UNBLAMEABLE AND UNREPROVEABLE IN HIS SIGHT.
In the body of his flesh through death, to PRESENT YOU HOLY AND UNBLAMEABLE AND UNREPROVEABLE IN HIS SIGHT.
TO SEE THINGS GOD'S WAY, WE NEED THE "MIND" OF CHRIST.
1 Corinthians 2:16 says that we have the mind of Christ. The Holy Spirit is our teacher (John 14:26) and he reveals the deep things of God to us (1 Cor. 2:10, 13)
Because the mind of Christ is available to us, by the Word, the Holy Spirit shows us how God, our Father sees us.
The above scripture says that through the blood of his cross, the Father sees us as HOLY, UNBLAMEABLE AND UNREPROVEABLE IN HIS SIGHT!!!
My friend, you can NOT look at your own flesh! You have to see yourself as the Father sees you. When the Father looks at you, He SEES CHRIST!!! We need to see the "real" person that you are.
In the Lord's eyes, we have died! (Romans 16:25, Romans 6:6,7.8) Christ is now our LIFE and our only life, living in us as us!
You might say now the issue is sin. How do we view it. Firstly, Romans 6:11 says that we need to reckon ourselves to be dead to sin, but ALIVE TO GOD THROUGH JESUS CHRIST OUR LORD.
This is the thing....that Christ in your CANNOT SIN. 1 John 3:5 and 9 say this. Whoever is born of God cannot sin. Why not? Because Christ in us, in our spirit, cannot sin. The old Adamic nature has been removed and we now have a sinless Christ nature in us.
But what happens if we do sin? The sins of the flesh and the pull of the flesh is still there. In fact, 1 John 1:8-10 says that if any man says he does not sin, he is a liar and the truth is not in him and that we need to CONFESS our sins of the flesh to the Father and he is faithful to forgive those sins.
When Christ looks at us, he sees us as HOLY, UNBLAMEABLE AND UNREPROVABLE.
Unblameable: Not able to be blamed or accused; faultless
Unreproveable: Without reproach, beyond criticism and accusation.
I like to end with this scripture.
Romans 8:1 - There is therefore NOW no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit.
Now: This exact moment in time just where you are.
In Christ Jesus: You are in Him and He is in you living as you.
The flesh: Looking at yourself instead of Christ in you.
After the Spirit: The Spirit is the revealer of Christ in you, your only hope of Glory!
Be blessed, refreshed and have a mind washed and renewed by the Word of God. Amen.
